Non-euclidean Advertising
by James on Sep.19, 2010, under Random
Now I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t watch a lot of TV as I don’t have cable or even a TV antenna. Because of this, I was only tangentially aware of the recent Old Spice (which is apparently cool to wear again) ad campaign. And by tangentially, I mean I’ve never actually seen one of the ads, but I’m pretty sure that this is funnier.
Administer the cure!
by James on Sep.19, 2010, under Random
The saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure is especially true when it includes a pound of buckshot. With that in mind, I present this helpful poster. Print it out and hang it on your wall so if the time comes, you’ll know when and how to administer the cure.
Arachnophobia
by James on Sep.02, 2010, under Random
I am, like most people, not particularly fond of spiders. Damn things are always crawling around where you don’t want them and leaving their webs right at head height across every sidewalk they can find.
A man in England took his dislike of spiders to the extreme when, in an attempt to get rid of it, managed to blow himself up. Flammable gases and open flame just do not mix. The man received burns to his arms, legs, and face, the remains of the spider were not recovered.
Warning signs will now be placed on all old Bill Murray comedies lest someone destroy the universe trying to cross the streams.
Something horrible this way comes
by James on Aug.17, 2010, under Random
It’s too bad the lyrics to this music video are unintelligible, maybe they would provide some sort of context for what the hell is going on and why the hell someone is keeping a huge rocky mountain oyster as a pet. It’s also possible the the lyrics are quite clear and the horror on the screen simply blocks it out. All I know is that this music video is a textbook example of what is known as “shooting yourself in the foot”.
Via Great White Snark, whose penchant for rocky mountain oysters is legendary.
